Costs and Cost Factors

The basic cost of The Fire Denyer® is $875.00 plus GST. This provides the following components, ready for installation:

The Fire Denyer® Controller
One Contactor for installation at the switchboard
One hard wired smoke detector with 5 metres of cable
One can of 'test smoke'
One User Manual & Installation Guide

Additional costs are determined by:

the number of smoke detectors required (note The Fire Denyer® Controller can drive up to 12 smoke detectors
any additional components required, for example Flashing Alerters
installation costs - installation must be completed by a registered electrician

As with any wiring installation, it is easier to install at the time of construction or during renovation, however The Fire Denyer® can readily be retrofitted in any building at any time. Installation costs are determined by a number of factors:

house construction - flat roof with limited ceiling access and concrete walls provide their own challenges at installation
the size of the property and the number of components for installation determines the amount of cabling required
the complexity of the job and the hourly rate of the installer has an effect - installation could take as little as two or as long as seven hours depending on the complexity of the job

An Indicative Price

Purely as a basis for planning, the fully installed price for The Fire Denyer® System in an average three bedroom house in the Wellington area requiring one Controller and four smoke detectors would range from $1,500.00 plus GST.
